2017 marks 50 years since being gay was decriminalised in England and Wales. Scotland would follow much later in 1980 and Northern Ireland in 1982. Recent governments have made huge progress with progressive LGBT legislation and the opinion of the general public has shifted dramatically.
But what was life like in 1967? Have we really achieved what can be true equality?
QQT is back for an LGBT History Month special to celebrate our history and to debate where the next battles may lie.
