David Hoyle

Electric Cars

Across four limitless, unplanned evenings of hilarity, protest and misrule, cabaret terrorist and avantguardian David Hoyle RETURNS, supercharged and offroad, to the Royal Vauxhall Tavern. With music and strength from our special guests, the wisdom of Pam Lustgarten and costumes by international design sensation Rick Owens, Electric Cars will be a charged roadmap etched in blood and lipgloss of YOU and THEM and how to OVERCOME.

Guests:

September 27 Gala Launch Night with Baby Lame

October 4th Le Gateau Chocolat

October 11th Kelly Wilde

October 18th Veda

Baby Lame is one of London’s very brightest (and dirtiest) rising stars. Since prolapsing onto London’s alternative scene in 2012, the deliciously rancid starlet has continued to thrill and terrorise audiences across the country with her twisted brand of punk-horror-drag.

Combining frantic balls out performance with dark comedy and the bad taste midnight movie sensibility of John Waters – Lame has risen to become one of London’s most exciting alternative cabaret stars.

‘A welcome breath of fresh, anarchic air on the London cabaret scene” (Out Here Magazine)

Performing for the first time with David at the RVT, Le Gateau Chocolat will be a night to remember. A prolific star of cabaret, opera and stage internationally, from Olivier Award winning circus (La Clique/La Soiree) to the Globe Theatre’s Twelfth Night and the National Theatre’s reimagined Threepenny Opera, everyone wants a slice of the action!

Kelly Wilde is an Australian International Recording Artists, a true force of nature, THE diva of the international pride circuit, and we cannot get enough of her at David’s shows. Expect to hear Kelly’s fantastic version of Gloria, and find yourself in a dancing mood!

Veda Beaux Reves is the superstar host of Witchy Wednesdays at Dublin’s George Tavern and an international legend. We love her so much we’ve brought her to Vauxhall. Expect glorious vocal mashups and stiletto-sharp chat. Also collaborated with David on the underground pop gem “Supermarché”.
