Solve-Along-A-Murder-She-Wrote: Edinburgh Fringe Preview

“Paint Me a Murder”

The cult hit event Solve-Along-A-Murder-She-Wrote is returning to the Edinburgh Fringe in August with a different episode to last year’s show – but you can catch the show at the Royal Vauxhall Tavern on Tuesday 9 July.

The Edinburgh Fringe Festival presents a wide range of performances, including stand-up comedy and dance, in short formats (the average show is under an hour) and Solve-Along will be shown in a special 80-minute version for the Festival.

This fast-paced, no-interval version will be tested out on 9 July – so fangelas are invited to be a test audience at this special presentation. We hope to see you there and look forward to your feedback after the show. The episode for this year’s EdFringe is the brilliant “Paint Me a Murder”.

Solve-Along-A-Murder-She-Wrote is a unique and hilarious night featuring games, prizes and audience participation, with special permission from NBC Universal Television. See the show Time Out rated one of 2021 and 2019’s 50 Great Nights Out in London that has played to sell-out audiences across the UK and Australia. Can you solve the crime before JB Fletcher?

Hosted by super-fan Tim Benzie, Solve-Along-A-Murder-She-Wrote features:

* A race to solve to the crime, via the Fameometer and the Suspiciometer!
* A singalong to the theme tune with new lyrics!
* Clips and biogs of the campy guest stars!

Tim Benzie is obsessed with Murder, She Wrote, having watched the original series when it was first broadcast, and now relishing the repeats on television everywhere. An award-winning playwright and co-writer of the Royal Vauxhall Tavern’s 2017-2023 pantos (‘Tossed’, ‘Goosed’, ‘Rubbed’, ‘Slipped’, ‘Pricked’ and ‘Cracked’). He is the co-producer of the camp club night PopHorror.
