We’re inviting you to step into the heels of your favourite queer icon! From Joan of Arc to Lil Nas X, Marsha P. Johnson to Freddie Mercury—this is your chance to celebrate the trailblazers, rebels, and visionaries who inspire us.

In collaboration with the Halls Life team at ual: you can Expect an unforgettable Student night at the legendary Royal Vauxhall Tavern on the Thursday 27th February from 6:30pm until late.

We will have Performances from the Queer Icon Eilleen Eifell and our baby drag king and queen from our recent drag course to get the party started.

So who qualifies as a queer icon?‍♂️

A queer Icon doesn’t have to identify as gay themselves but they have to be important to the queer community. The icon inspiring your look must be unapologetically themselves and be an ally to LGBTQIA+ people. Whether you come as a historical hero or a modern-day legend we are open to your interpretation of what Icon means to you.

Scared of commitment?
There will be some tickets on the door from 6:30PM but its first come first served.

This is a student night so please bring your student card, non students can gain access as a student’s plus one so please enter as a group if this is you.

We run a quiet half an hour from 6:30-7pm so you can get familiar with the space or like to meet a few people ahead of the venue filling up.

Bags and coats must be checked in, there is a small charge

This is a mixed seating/standing event, if you have any access requirements just ask.
