‘Xtrah Virgin’

Having gone AWOL from heaven the Virgin has another outing with a new solo show.

She’s the holy mother of Gawd. She’s the Virgin Mary.  She’s The Virgin Xtravaganzah who has come back down to earth (because heaven is totes boring and full of Christians) to be a fabulous drag queen in London! She spreads her gospel using the medium of pop songs that she rewrites to tell the story of her life as a modern celestial #FeministIcon trying to make it in the big bad world.

Xtrah Virgin is Virgin Xtravaganzah’s second solo show. In it, Virgin reflects on her past 2 years living back on earth, what she has learned about our modern culture, and how she is finding herself as a young woman in this new modern world.  She compares and contrasts cultural differences between the modern age and the bible- Grindr and Sodom and Gomorrah, the teachings of Mathew, Mark, Luke, and John with the teachings of our modern sages Ariana Grande, Rihanna, Katy Perry, and Beyonce.  She gives her opinions on trending topics such as chem sex parties, messy drag queens, and online dating.  It’s a political show, with emotional ups and downs, and there is something for the whole family.  The Church might try and stop this Virgin from dishing her T, but it will soon find that it Vata-CAN’T!  #StrutWithChrist  #VirginOnAMission

“Virgin Xtravaganzah – London’s favourite/only celestial divinity, the foul-mouthed moustached Mother of Christ – plays compere-extraordinaire to a host of dazzling and cutting edge acts both new and familiar.”
Jake Cheetham, Gay Times

“Celibate superstar Virgin Xtravaganzah brought a sparkling, scintillating, stressfully salubrious show to East London.”
Dylan Jones, QX

“Virgin herself is one kick-ass mother, rocking a sensational iconic look while demonstrating serious chops as host, comedian and singer.”
Ben Walters, Not television

“No-one can say that Virgin Xtravaganza doesn’t know how to put on a damn (sorry Mother) good show, her comedy and talent are abounding.”
Nick Gomez, EQ View
