Bucks Fizz won Eurovision in 1981 with ‘Making Your Mind Up’. Originally a manufactured band, they have endured and gone on to be one our biggest musical success stories with an enthusiastic and loyal following. They wowed Eurovision in 1981 with the skirt ripping routine and have been part of our musical culture ever since, they subsequently went on to sell 15 million records. Other hits also include ‘Land of Make Believe’ and many others, Formerly of Bucks Fizz, as they are now known, include Cheryl Baker, Jay Aston, Mike Nolan and Bobby McVay who joined the troupe later and was a pop star in his own right as part of the 80’s group ‘Sweet Dreams’.
