Following the success of our recent Nighty Night screenings, the RVT are proud to present a brand new night dedicated to the sheer brilliance of Julia Davis.

Comedian, writer, director, producer and musician Julia Charlotte L Davis has a penchant for the darker side of comedy, as displayed in the various shows she has been involved with over the years. A queer icon to many, Julia’s most famous (and quotable) role is that of serial stalker Jill Tyrell in Nighty Night.

But there’s more to her than just Jill.

A true Julia Davis super-fan will surely remember Human Remains, Jam, Hunderby, Psychobitches and Big Train; and of course there’s Davis’ latest comedy, Camping.

Hiya Cath Club will celebrate ALL things Julia Davis and related. Evolving from the original screenings, we want you to be involved too. There’ll be special guests, performers, clips, episodes, music…. AND for our launch night on 23rd June we’ll be hosting the inaugural Miss Jill Tyrell competition. Are you a widow in your mid-20’s with a lust for life and a flexible spine, who loves a nice piping hot cappuccino? Do you want to strut your stuff in all your Jill Tyrell finery on the RVT stage? If the answer is yes, then get creative and enter! There’ll be a very special judging panel in attendance, too.
