‘The force is strong in our queer family’.
Following last year’s opening episode, we are thrilled to confirm that the rebel scum are back for more Star Wars nonsense at The RVT on Star Wars Day, Thursday 4th May.
From Alderaan to Mandalore and across the Outer Rim, May 4th is a day of celebration for every species in the Galaxy. It’s Star Wars Day and once again this year the great, the good and the totally gorgeous of the LGBTQ+ galactic cabaret scene are joining forces at our very own Imperial Palace, The Royal Vauxhall Tavern to raise money for every Jedi’s favourite charity, Cabaret vs Cancer.
A stellar line-up of drag and cabaret stars bringing us a selection of Star Wars themed performances that include all your favourite heroes and villains.
Hosted by our own Jedi Master, Reece Connolly, the show includes, Me the Drag Queen, Lilly Snatchdragon, Carrot, YShee Black, Oedipussi Rex, Mark Anthony and Benjamin Louche.
Doors at 7pm, show from 8pm.
Cabaret vs Cancer is an independent charity set up in 2014 by performer Rose Thorne, it raises money to help families especially children cope with the effects of cancer. Star Wars Day, May 4th is also the date for the launch of the 2023 Cabaret vs Cancer Sci Fi and Fantasy auction. Money from ticket sales will be split between the artists performing on the night and the charity. There will raffles and collections on the night with Star Wars prizes.
